Samsung SDI Battery Systems is a global technology leader in e-mobility. Together with our customers in the automotive industry, we develop and test innovative battery systems for automotive applications based on state-of-the-art lithium ion technology.

The technology center of Samsung SDI Battery Systems is located in Kalsdorf, Austria, close to Graz. Samsung SDI is a full-service supplier for lithium ion cells, battery modules and battery packs for all electric vehicles as well as all types of hybrid vehicles.

Your core responsibilities are:

Explore, innovate, and validate cutting-edge technologies that shape the future of mobility
Develop innovative concepts for next-generation battery systems
Perform 3D thermal simulation (FE/CFD) of cooling systems for automotive batteries
Calculate gas release behavior of battery cells and its impact on the overall system
Develop models for thermodynamic systems

What you need is:

Completed technical degree (e.g. mechanical engineering, energy technology, physics)
Experience in the thermal design of components
Software skills for thermodynamic calculations (mostly in 3D), e.g. STAR-CCM+, Ansys Fluent, Matlab, Python
Self-motivated, curious and driven by impact
Strong communication and collaboration skills in interdisciplinary teams
German language skills are a plus, but not mandatory

Our offer for you:

With regard to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we offer the following annual gross remuneration (full time/38.5 hours) as a basis for negotiations for this position: EUR 53.500.-

We also offer a market-standard overpayment depending on relevant work experience and qualifications.
