Samsung SDI Battery Systems is a global technology leader in e-mobility. Together with our customers in the automotive industry, we develop and test innovative battery systems for automotive applications based on state-of-the-art lithium ion technology.

The technology center of Samsung SDI Battery Systems is located in Kalsdorf, Austria, close to Graz. Samsung SDI is a full-service supplier for lithium ion cells, battery modules and battery packs for all electric vehicles as well as all types of hybrid vehicles.

Your core responsibilities are:

Manage a team of software development engineers in automotive environment under consideration of industry relevant processes and standards (e.g. A-SPICE, IATF 16949, ISO 26262, etc.)
Drive the strategic direction of our products & services considering emerging and legacy technologies
Active engagement in negotiation of project scope and timing (FIP) during acquisition phase
Ensure innovation in SW development process striving for efficiency (process, methods, tools, certifications)
Ensure innovation in SW functionality to increase battery safety, performance and life
Develop and align optimized SW qualification methods and processes with Verification/Validation team

What you need is:

Completed technical education
Experience of leading a more than 30 head count team of SW development engineers
Experience in SW project management in automotive environment
Knowledge about automotive software development environment / tools
Leading by example, integrity, transparency & accountability
Innovation and cost-driven mindset
Seeing the future with strategic thinking
Very good English and German language skills

Our offer for you:

With regard to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we offer the following annual gross remuneration (All-in) as a basis for negotiations for this position: EUR 98.000.–

We also offer a market-standard overpayment depending on relevant work experience and qualifications.
