Samsung SDI Battery Systems is a global technology leader in e-mobility. Together with our customers in the automotive industry, we develop and test innovative battery systems for automotive applications based on state-of-the-art lithium ion technology.

The technology center of Samsung SDI Battery Systems is located in Kalsdorf, Austria, close to Graz. Samsung SDI is a full-service supplier for lithium ion cells, battery modules and battery packs for all electric vehicles as well as all types of hybrid vehicles.

Your core responsibilities are:

Collect, process, and analyze large volumes of test, field, and sensor data across development and operation
Develop machine learning models to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights on product performance and usage
Collaborate with product development teams to integrate data collection and analytics tools throughout the product lifecycle
Apply statistical and AI methods to identify patterns, predict issues, and optimize performance
Continuously improve analytics approaches using modern data science and AI technologies

What you need is:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience in data analysis, data science, and machine learning, ideally in an automotive or engineering environment
Strong programming skills in Python or MATLAB
Experience with data visualization, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and big data technologies
Solid knowledge of machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI
Ability to work with large, complex datasets
Automotive testing or product development experience is a plus
Strong communication skills in English and German and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Our offer for you:

With regard to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we offer the following annual gross remuneration (full time/38.5 hours) as a basis for negotiations for this position: EUR 54.500.–

We also offer a market-standard overpayment depending on relevant work experience and qualifications.
